bio

Sophie Haviland is a writer and director who lives in New York and Australia.

She travels frequently, which is an ingrained habit, being the daughter of anthropologists.

Sophie works in Europe, Asia and the USA producing and directing experimental theater and film projects and conducting workshops in process-driven art practice. She also regularly collaborates with artist Richard Foreman (Ontological-Hysteric Theater) on film and visual art productions, as well as on the international Bridge Project.
